This shoe is based on the classic Grishko Fouette model, but uses a suede machine-stitched out-sole (instead of the Fouette's glued leather one).

Special Characteristics:

Maya I features a broad box and a wide-medium platform, a V-shaped vamp which perfectly supports feet with high arches. This is an excellent shoe for wider, square-shaped feet with a high arch.

Box shape: slightly tapered 

Best fit: square (Roman) feet with a high arch.

PRO-FLEX:

The Maya I shoe with a softer shank or its Pro-Flex edition will be a good choice for dancers with flexible, but weak arches and also for adult beginners. The "FLEX" technology used in the Pro-Flex shoes helps them reach the full platform and roll correctly through demi-pointe.

Professional dancers use Pro-Flex shoes when there is not enough time to break a shoe in. The shoes use a sound-absorbing technology PRO which also makes them a great choice for performances.
