The Encore pointe shoe accommodates a moderately tapered toe structure and slightly opens at the wings to allow for space at the metatarsal. The Encore has a moderate tapered box so it is also supportive for dancers with a second toe longer than the rest. The model narrows slightly to the heel ensuring no gaps or excess fabric at the back. Its pre-arched construction throughout the shoe mimics the shape of the foot on pointe.
This model comes of the Spotlight collection by Russian Pointe, noted for its pre-arched technology and pliable shanks. Spotlight pointe shoes aim to highlight the arch, while simultaneously facilitate pointe work by minimizing break-in.
